Designed by Aino Aalto, Riihitie Plant Pot is a ceramic pot which is named after the Aaltos' home, having been originally designed for the house's terrace. The organic shape of the pot reflects the Aalto's strong connection with nature and the importance of small details. The glazed ceramic pot is handmade and its colours are inspired by ceramic tiles from Alvar Aalto's Muuratsalo Experimental House.
The pot is available in two different shapes (A and B) and three different sizes. Riihitie Plant Pot is a beautiful and timeless decorative object, which can be used in different rooms of the home and for many different purposes. Riihitie Plant Pot was first introduced in 1937 at the Paris World Fair at the Artek stand, but it was never mass produced. It was reintroduced 80 years later.
